Daniel Hurtado
Founder, Chef
Daniel Hurtado is the Owner of Hurtado Hospitality, a bespoke culinary service dedicated to providing personalized dining experiences for local families. Born and raised in Waco, Texas, his culinary journey began at The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, where he graduated in 2011.
Daniel built his career in country clubs, starting as a line cook at Traditions Golf Club before being recruited to the Houston Racquet Club by Chef Bernard Hurley, where he trained as a sous chef. Later, in 2016, he moved to Los Angeles, California, to become the Executive Chef at Wilshire Country Club. In 2020, he returned to Texas to join the team at The Forest Club in Houston. In 2024, he founded Hurtado Hospitality to deliver one-on-one hospitality to individuals in their homes.
With over a decade of industry experience, Daniel’s culinary philosophy emphasizes seasonal ingredients, blending the freshness of California with the rich, bold flavors of Texas. He views food as essential to quality of life and well-being, advocating for high-quality ingredients to enhance the dining experience and promote optimal health. His commitment to excellence and innovative approach to cuisine make him a sought-after personal chef in the community.
